critique please

ok i'v only have been doing flat for chest for about 6 weeks now, do as muich sets as it takes till i can barely lift the bar more than once. my last chest workout i did the same after that i did chest flies and overhead arm extensions, about 5 sets for both. now 2 days later im a little sore like i just started workingout again. is this good or bad did i over do it or this whats called shocking the muscles?

Post your exact workout in detail
 
flat barbell 5 sets 8 reps, then usually after that i keep doing more sets of lower reps till i can barely lift once

5 sets of flies 10 reps

5 sets overhead extensions 8 reps

2 or 3 times a week
i dont really workout anything else at the moment but i will in the near future once i figure put together a full body routine

Push ( chest, delts and triceps)
pull ( lats, biceps, traps)
legs ( quads, hamstrings, calves)

3x a week is too much to hit each muscle group, once or twice a week is enough.
 
so besides the burnout does everything else look rigt as far as chest, and will probably break my routine down to that
 
I would probably only do that once each week. You should definitely put together something for the rest of your body though. Your physique is going to look like crap, and you're likely to trash your posture and shoulders if you continue like that for a long time.
