I remember watching Chef Bourdain's Layover in Hong Kong. One guy he was sitting at a meal with mentioned that in that culture losing ones temper in public is supposed to be uncool/ humiliating to the person losing it. Here in the USA if anyone harassed a construction worker, he would need emergency services to save his ass.

It appears that we no longer live in a world in which bankers can freely abuse construction workers on a whim.That?s because the camera never lies.
Thanks to mobile phone cameras and video cameras, more and more people are being held accountable professionally for outbursts or other unprofessional behavior that takes place on ?personal time.?
In the case of Olivier Desbarres, former head of FX strategy for Asia Pacific excluding Japan at Barclays, his bosses viewed a cellphone video showing him berating construction workers at a location near his home in Singapore. The video was shot by one of the construction workers.
The Wall Street Journal describes the outburst as follows:

In the clip, Desbarres is shown clad in polo shirt and sandals. He threatens workers at the site, lambasting them as ?animals, Chinese [expletive] animals.?
?I?m going to go after you. I?m going to burn your [expletive] house down with your [expletive] people in it,? Desbarres is shown shouting. ?I will find your [expletive] family. I can find it very easily, I am a man with resources.? He then is shown hurling a sheet of metal into a pit. Construction workers standing out of range on the opposite side of the pit filmed the outburst.
