Is there any real point of lifting heavy while dieting and getting cut then? Will you make gains in strength but not size?

I agree with bludevil.
You should go one way or the other, unless you're on "something", it's almost impossible to get lean and gain size simultaneously.![]()
I disagree, for the last 3 months I have slowly cut my body fat yet gained size. My weight has averaged 195 to 200. My waist has went from 34 to 33 and I am seeing a definite gain in size(legs and chest) I have been using a fat burner and eating a relativly clean diet. I am not saying I am cut by any means but have lost most of the fat around my waist and still gained size so it is possible. Now if I hit the diet harder I am sure I would lose some muscle. That is why I perfer NOT going one way or the other, but rather taking the middle ground.
