cutting diet

i was trying a low carb diet but i realize taht it wasnt for me...so i am in need of a new diet... i was looking at something like 40% protein 35% carbs and 25% fat.... i am 5'7 and 165... im trying to consume around 2300 calories....are the calories too high??? please help... thank you
 
That sounds good you could also go 40/40/20! What are your stats? :)
 
u mean bodyfat.... i dont know my bodyfat percentage
 
Sorry, my bad you already posted your height and weight. Age?, gender and goals would be helpful. Also, post what your eating now per meal and what you want to change :)
 
im 21 and male im trying to get more cut.... i would like to lose around 5 pounds by the end of july....i really dont have a set meal plan... i usually try to consume 500 calories meals for the first three meals and then 400 for the next two.... iam not doing any cardio right now

for carbs i usually have brown rice, whole grain bread, peaches, cherries, grapefruits, ....i tried to eat oatmeal but i couldnt stand it...

protein.... i usually have egg whites, tuna, chicken, and lean beef. protein shakes


fats... almonds, olive oil. canola oil... i dont have flax oil so i use canola oil instead....do u suggest any other substitues until i get some.....

also i just started counting my calories and was wondering how to find out the amount of calories in fruits and chicken legs or breasts.... thanx
