Cutting on cycle and Muscle Growth

I'm starting another cycle next week 200mg prop/100mg tren ace EOD and I'm getting a diet outlined by one of the bodybuilders at my gym...it's going to be roughly 2600 cals a day and prolly 350 grams of protein...but the question I have is this:

Can I put on any muscle with this cycle and this diet?? Or will the anabolics just allow me to maintain the LBM I have now whilst losing BF?? He seems to think that I won't be able to put on any size while on this diet...this kinda bothers me cuz this cycle is kinda expensive for me to just maintain the LBM I have now know what I mean?

What are some of your experiences with cutting on cycle??

Maybe try and bulk for the first part of the cycle and then cut perhaps?? Or vice versa??
 
If done properly you can certainly add some LBM. Obviously this depends on how extreme your cut is(caloric deficit)and the parameters of your diet.

I just came of a cutting cycle that got me down to about 9% BF from 13% and I gained a couple of lbs of LBM. So yes it can be done.

Good shit....I'm probably around 12 or 13% now too...and would like to get down under 10...I'm not shooting for 5 or 6 just 8 or 9% would be good...

You know they say it's almost impossible, but i'm giving it a try right now. Difference is I'm keeping my cal's a little higher as i weigh 247 lbs right now. I'm also keeping my protein intake over 500 grams a day.

:thumb: As long as you know how to keep your gains and not get fat during pct, this is your best bet, IMO.

If you want to just cut, you could lose 3 lbs a week and make strength gains at the same time.

This may be what I try then...I want to be lean for this summer....This cycle will last 10 weeks...I can imagine I'll put on at least 10lbs in the first 5 weeks...

I reckon I could lose 10lbs of fat and be at my desired BF% I don't think that will be too hard....

Pirate I agree with you 99% of the time partner but not this time. You lose 3 lbs a week and your strength is going down the toilet. Sorry brother but that's a fact.

IMO this is the best way to cycle for bodycomp, its hard to focus on both, so i'd recommend concentrating on bulking and adding mass and strength over the first part of the course, then cut the cals right down, up the cardio and watch the fat melt off you whilst your muscles harden and continue to maybe even get a little stronger, you certainly won't lose any muscle if you stay on the AAS (it would be extremely hard to go catabolic on anabolic steroids, lol)

i'm planning 8 weeks bulking, 4 weeks cutting on my next, almoast like putting a bulker and cutter together, its likely after 8 weeks additional 'gains' in muscle will be hard to come by anyway without switching things up, i kind of did this on my last cycle, bulked for about 4 weeks then cut for about 3... and i had some nasty sides over the first few weeks so i ended up cutting on just 1 amp of test a week and a little var, strength and size held up very well, so just image what one could achieve on test/tren, theres a nice thought to leave you with

This sounds very interesting. Normally people say either cut or bulk not both but I think this makes some sense. I am going to be doing a Test/Tren/EQ cycle soon and I like this idea.

I have done this with tren twice, but only for a few weeks at a time. I imagine the results would taper off if the cut went any longer, but I'm sure others can see the same results with tren. I don't lose a bit of strength on tren, no matter quickly I lose weight.
