Hi all,

I'm hoping to get some feedback on my deadlift form. (comments on my pert arse included)
YouTube - 89kg.wmv
The weight's 89kg (195lbs) The dumb looking plates on the outside are my old plastic ones
I weigh around 70kg (155lbs). I'm not real serious about body building (clearly, or I would be bulking more ) but I enjoy lifting and haven't had a chance to reflect on my dl form yet.

Much appreciated

it isn't horrible considering the fact that those plates are making you have to go a lot lower towards the ground than you need to. Keep your shoulder blades back and tighter (again, this could be you reaching for the floor with the bar though)....

I would try to get some light weight bumper plates that elevate the bar off the floor to the normal height that you would deadlift from, or place a an aerobic steup under the plates you do have on there to get them up off the floor a little bit so you can set up in a tighter position.

Thanks for the pointers PFunk and Bomber.
I'll try elevating the bar somehow next time (I mean to get 20kg plates soon anyway which will have the larger diameter) I also have poor posture normally which I can see is carrying over into my lifting form. I'll have to work on that.
And my stare, yes, I can see now I need to lift that. Perhaps a mirror in front would help.
Cheers guys.
