Hey al how are you?!? Im new here btw!!!:callme:

Anyways, here are my questions:

I am extremely confused....

I want to start running, which is better? Morning (6 30 am or 7am) or evening(4 or 5 pm)? Please don't say when you have time, because pretty much most days during those times I will be free.

I did so much research on google, and I found out that some say morning better, some say evening. I head in the morning, it is better because:

-Starts your metabolism and therefore burn fat more. And because you run without breakfast, you use stored fat as energy. The question is, is it really ok for me to start running without breakfast?

-If I do want to run in the morning, when should I wake up? Is 6am too early? I know people should get at least 8 hours of sleep, so that means I have to sleep at about 10 pm!?

In the end....does running in the morning really make a huge difference as to how much fat I burn? (compared to running in the evening at 4 or 5 pm)

Thanks a lot for reading and helping this neewbie!:nail:

Cya!

1. Why are you running? (I hope not to burn fat)
2. Running will make you burn some muscle mass as well, and it is stressful on the body.
3. Run for health. Track your intake and "run" a deficit in calories for fat loss. However you will lose "weight" by running alot, which will also be some muscle. You can also lose "weight" by starving yourself to death both are extremes, which can be dangerous.

Everyone else will point you to built so I'll go ahead and cut to the chase...or cut to the paste. http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/new-members-begin-here/97077-read-me-first-homework-1-newbies.html

Ok, don't do it when you have time, do it when you feel like it.

If there is any difference in fat loss between fasted and unfasted, we're likely talking GRAMS difference. Big freaking deal.

The overall calorie deficit is more important assuming you're going for fat loss.

You mean you're searching for what you want to hear.
Funny how some people do that. If it isn't what they want to hear they keep looking for someone to give them an opinion that agrees with them. Doesn't matter if the advise is good or not.

It doesn't matter. Calories in vs calories out over the entire day is what matters.

Again, what are your goals? If it is fat loss, running is not the way to do it.
