i'm 6'4'' 229lbs, 11%bf and 35.... I'm about to go on a bulk cycle.. I worked my ass off to get my stats i havve now.. I have a slow metabolism.. my buddy was telling me 4000calories a day and 500grams of carbs while i'm on... I'm afraid i'll pack on just as must fat as muscle.. I pretty much sit all day at work sometimes 16 hours.. I workout 6 days a week with 30 minute cardio and an hour of weight training.. Any ideas on diet?

this is the first time ive posted on the nutrition board, so be easy on me... I was reading another guys thread and there is a part about eating baked potato's but loading them up with bacon, butter and cheese... Theres no way i would even consider putting junk like that into my body... Aas is hard enough without loading yourself with cholesterol and fat filled foods... Is there not a cleaner way to bulk?

u jus got to find what works for u i have a slow metabolism as well so late night carbs can do damage to me jus eat high quality food s keep track every day what ui eat and log ur weight each week and go from there ur body will show if ur eating to much and then jus adjust diet for me is trial and error

Thats how i played my last cycle.. Worked out well but most will say your wasting gear by not stuffing food down yourself... I enjoy eating really clean. So clean i add a table spoon of extra virgin olive oil to my protein shakes to get some fat in my diet.. Lol....

natty pb is a good way to add some fat to your diet. the costco pb is my personal fav. we have similar specs and metabolism it sounds like. I've found that the daily tracking system really works, easy to remember its time to eat and what not. never used gear before so that changes it quite a bit.

I told that guy to add cheese and butter to his potatoes because he was like 150 pounds and having trouble eating enough calories. If you can eat 4000 clean calories a day (and like to) by all means do it. Do you know your maintenance? Just add 500-700 calories to that and you'll gain weight.
