Hey, I'm new to this site, and I'm very impressed with the way you guys help each other out. I need some advice! I took an office job 6 months ago, and have slowed down on the lifting, and put on almost 25lbs in the process! I'm finally getting back in the gym, and I would like to cut up before bulking up, but I'm not set about my ways. I'm 5'10" and weigh around 220 with 16%body fat. 26 years old, and I would like to have 10% body fat tops. I hear of adkins, and south beach, but I don't want to lose the muscle I have! ANY suggestions will be highly appreciated!

You think it's more important to cut down first, and then bulk up, or go ahead and try to do it all in one process?

High protein, moderate amount of low glycemic carbs and good fats. Cardio 4-5 days a week. Brisk walk for 45 min's will take care of the cardio. That simple

start your diet around 3500 cal's and drop them by 200 each week until down around 2800. No lower then 2800 cals' a day or you'll lose to much lean body mass

Work a heavy lifting schedual into it, or lift light, high reps?

sounds like good advice rhouser

keep lifting the same way you are now...the cardio and the change in diet with the workout should take care of it
