physical therapy, and yoga

I had several in my neck...fixed up now after a whole lotta pt and yoga (I liked bikram, any will do)

oh...and let me rephrase that slightly GOOD PT and yoga

I had a great physical therapist that also got me back into lifting with considerations for my injuries

I have 6 of those, plus a crap load of other problems in the back. I agree with SheriV, good PT. However, I found a chiropractor that specializes in sports injuries. He has a physical therapist on staff that works with me. He does the adjustments and evaluations, then the physical therapist puts me through the exercises. It has really worked for me. Once again, don't go to any back cracker, find one that specializes in sports injuries.

i think i actually originally did the injury or at least weakened the disc in april 2012 during some squats. i had a little back pain, nothing major. then november 2012 (no actual trauma that i can recall) it started becoming symptomatic, severe morning pain, muscle spasms (nothing neurological). at this point i still didnt know it was a thoracic disc bulge (apparently they are very rare) so continued to lift. did some physio (was still lifting for a lot of it) and only stopped lifting feb 2013 (when i found out it was a disc bulge) last few days have been the best in 5 months, pain is significantly reduced along with morning stiffness (its by no way fixed but its a start) im hoping it continues in this pattern given that i am giving it proper rest. i am going to see a consultant to see what he says. but thanks for the opinions/advice thus far.
