I work out with a guy who NEVER takes any protein supplements but instead loads up on amino acids. He is huge, ripped and very strong so I would say that aminos work...the only way YOU will get huge is by working hard and eating right...aminos are ONLY supplements. Nothing more.

They were very popular in the 80's.
I thought most of todays supplements have amino's already included?

Yeah, especially alot of the protein powders. The nice thing about aminos is that you can buy a huge bucket of 'em and they are relatively cheap. I used aminos exclusively until about a month and half ago and thought they did the job...if you concentrate on getting enough protein out of your diet the aminos work fine but I wouldnt try to use them as a complete replacement for proteins in your diet. Another thing, I have good friend that has problems with clinical depression and as long as she takes her aminos regularly she is medication free. Im no doctor but that seems pretty awesome to me.

Now that's interesting, I guess she suffer's from what they call a chemical imbalance.

For sure. It makes a person wonder what illnesses could be helped or regulated just by proper vitamins/minerals and good excercise routine.

Ah ha, but you gotta love America..... land of "we need our SUV to check the mail, and a 1,500 calorie burger to go along with that slab of french fries."

I think he was implying we (as Americans) are fat, dumb and lazy....

I will have to agree on this point....have you seen the fat-asses around you? Those of us who take care of ourselves are definitely a minority.

Ma' Bad.

I was having one of "those" nights...

I think they work from what I've read about them. Looks like l-glutamine is the main one when it comes to gaining muscle

Not a huge differnce between the two. Liquid will be absorbed faster, but its not like you have a bad headache and you're taking medicine for that. Either way works, I think. BTW, check out the site in my sig if you are looking to buy. ;)

i was looking up some and twinlab (Amino Fuel 2000) are in pill form...it says that the dossage is 2-4 pills with everymeal. is that a normal dosage for aminos?

if you are eating quality protein with each meal you do not need extra aminos in pill or liquid form.
