BTW, I didn't take it personally, I just think it's funny a guy who makes 50k a year thinks he makes alot of money. I work about 30hrs a week and made 48k last year, and I took a month off to go play at sports camp.

I don't think 50k a year is a lot of money. What gave you that impression? I do not make that BTW. A lot of money to me would be 250K a year. Then I would be sitting pretty. If I thought I made a lot of money I wouldn't be worrying about bills all the time. That comes with the responsibilty of owning a home. Something you wouldn't know anything about.

Maybe you should put more of that free time to good use. Or not.

I do, to exercise and studying. I am trying, as others are, to position myself as someone who is credible in the field. I imagine I spend 3-4 hours a day reading, re-reading, and applying the stuff I read to how it will make me a better trainer. I could go ahead and push myself off as one of the greatest minds in the field, but I am nowhere even close to that. I think I am better than most, but I don't think my level of knowledge is at where I would feel comfortable charging $85 an hour like a great deal of people rip off their clients for. Not every financial decision leads to immediate profit. I suggest you read 7 Habits to Highly Effective People, it taught me alot.

I understand that you got your crib, car, and all that stuff and you like that, but you exchanged having those things for extra stress. I don't covet those things, I like my stress-free, payment-free existence just the way it is. My roommate got a statement of what the houses around here are selling for. 2 houses down sold for $30k less than what he paid for this house, same number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and it's only going to get worse. Credit cards maxed out, electricity and cable bills sky high. If that isn't stress, I don't know what is. No thanks, I'll take my cash and bank it so I can get to AZ faster.

That is awesome. To eash his own. I was tired of renting and moving every year. I wanted a place that I knew I was going to stay at for a while. I wanted a basement and a garage. I love my house. I love my weekend projects. I love my gym in the basement. The stress isn't horrible. I lived on my own for 2 years before I bought that house. I know how to pay bills, budget and save. As for stress, I would rather be doing what I'm doing then be in Iraq, away from family and friends, fighting. That would stress for me. I'm going to Arizona next Saturday for 10 days. I have never been there before. I heard the climate and environment is beautiful. I wonder if I should bring shorts?

:clapping:

That about sums up my life.
