I loved the latest three books, even though it raised more questions than it did answers. Which is fine by me, cuz I've only been reading his stuff for about two years now so it's all new and fresh to me. However, I've been doing a lot of reading during these two years and I would agree to some part with this analysis with some of his older books. Icewind Dale trilogy was good as a beginning, the Dark Elf Trilogy great because they focused so much on the inside of Drizzt's head, but from my perspective I assume that people lost interest at about the Legacy of the Drow series- where even I admit I was reading out of loyalty. I think even Salvatore got bored at this point. I finished this series just yesterday, and so all I'm missing is whatever's between Legacy and Hunter Trilogy. So I can understand people reading up to the point of Legacy and stop liking them, as long as they're willing to admit when Salvatore gets back up to gear, which I think he has with Thousand Orcs/ Lone Drow/ Two Swords.V Player said:Oh hell I could have told you that! I stopped buying his books long ago and now I save myself the trouble by just downloading them. Last book I read was Lone Drow and it was a fukin drag. So then I went to a geek website where all they do is live, eat, and breathe this crap and almost to a one they slammed the sequel, The Two Swords, so bad that I didnt even bother downloading it for free. Salvatore had promised on HIS website to once and for all end the Cattie-Brie/Drizzt/Wulfgar "thing" in The Two Swords and all he did was make it worse, it seems. Pissed a lot of geeks off. And if you piss a geek off...... bad things happen. I think.
