Does bodybuilding damage your growth plates?

Hey,

I was wondering if bodybuilding around 3 days a week will damage my growth plates to the extent of preventing me form reaching my full height. If they r damaged will they heal in time?

Also is there someone i can see, that is able to examine my growth plates to tell me if they are damaged already?

No!...weight training will not damage your epiphyseal plates ( growth plates).

However Steroid use can cause them to close up prematurely...so don't use them until at least 21......better yet don't use them ever.
Go see a sports Doctor if you have any questions about your body that pertain to training and/or steroid use.
 
Just ask buildingup. He knows all the answers :D. The whole 'bodybuilding stunts your growth' myth is worthless. Keep a-lifting my friend.
