I haven't fucked with any creatine products besides pre-workouts since high school. Back then they said you were supposed to take 20-25 g's a day for the first week to saturate the muscle then 5-10 a day after that. Just curious what the bro-science is these days on this topic.

Yeah my intuition always told me that it was a complete marketing gimick to get the user to use more product and eventually buy more product, but I don't know...just curious on you guys' thoughts.

Thanks for the reply bro.

^ This. Also, in the original creatine studies, the powder was dissolved over the course of a few minutes in warm water or tea. This ensures absorption and prevents stomach upset or bloat. And personally, I've never needed more than 2.5 grams to notice a difference. More than that always leaves me waterlogged.

No loading with creatine now? just started some today, ON mono creapure. It says to take it like 5 times a day for the first 4-5 days. Hell I've got so much I don't care to load but not going to if it isn't necessary. Putting it with my dextrose protein post workout shake.

Yeah brother.. I would skip the load phase even if you have a ton. It's just not worth it IMO.

Jesus Christ. What is their reasoning behind that, other than to get you to buy more sooner?

Thanks bros. Reps all around. I've been taking 20 g a day for a couple days now just because I like to overdose on stuff, but I think I'll bump back down to 10 g tomorrow. I just can't in good faith take only 5 g a day.

The loading phase will help you get from A to B faster but it definately isn't necessary. You can also get some nasty sides if you load for the first couple of days like upset stomach, diarrhea, headache and general malaise - happened to me. Just throw back 5g daily for a couple of weeks and you'll be th same as if you loaded ensuring no sides.

The loading phase was years ago, but since then many have learned it's just a waste. Mono is still the best route for price range, but APS has one called Creatine nitrate that is wicked good. No loading and had no bloating at all.

No loading... imagine having to load the creatine when all you have are pre-workouts like Jack3d. Five scoops of Jack3d pre-workout for the first week.... :mooh:

on an article on here it says to load up still on loading phase, so I say go for it and to stick with monohydrate too it said you can read this on the article

to much creatine gives me the shits
