Does dehydrated fruit loose nutrient value?

or would it still maintain it's vitamin/mineral content?
 
Typically vit A an Vit C have some lose. If you are making your own that is.....the stuff you buy at the stores is loaded with sugar to sweeten it more and sulpher dioxide to retain it's color.

I buy the non-sulphered dried apples for snacks ... how does that work out?
 
Thats fine so long as there isn't added sugars :)
 
so if i buy my dried fruit from an organic food store like the fresh market, it would be a TON better for me than the welch's i'm getting now. and it would have more of the vitamin content too??
 
not necessarily......every health food store I've seen sells the sugared supher'd fruit. It's very rare to find it without it and you are better off dehydrating it yourself.
