hey i just wanted to know would it be easier to gain more muscle mass if lets say someone 6 foot or some one like me whos 5'4: :D even if the 2 people do the same excerzies will they get the same results:confused:,thanks

A person's bone structure has very little to do with the genetic ability to build muscle mass. However, a shorter person might appear to have more mass due to their height and smaller build. The taller someone is the longer the muscle bellies, so they have more area that has to be filled out.

I can't believe someone asked this today, I was thinking about this all day, I was actually going to start a thread asking about BB's height, because alot of male BB's seem to be somewhere around 5'6", maybe a little taller but it doesn't seem to be much, and was that the case with female BB's, just out of curiousity, and the differences in training, etc...........:thumb:

It's true, the average pro is probably around 5' 8", if even that tall. I have met many that were shorter.

Maybe shorter guys feel insecure and try to compensate for their lack of height by getting bigger/wider.

Like I said above, typically the smaller your build is the easier it is to "fill it out".

I have been told I have "small man's syndrome"...lol but I think it has nothing to do with that...remember that everyone is different...train hard, eat a sound diet and see where you can go. I think all to often taller guys just give up because they think they can't gain size when in fact if they'd stick with it they'd grow just as much as us shorter guys.

As Prince mentionned though...shorter guys look bigger, but that doesn't mean they/we are...it's an illusion!

me too: its called napolean complex

I think short guys seem to appear large easier than tall guys, taller people have alot of bone to fill out. I'm 6'2" and its never been super easy, some short guys seem to work out for a few months and look pretty good. I'm 238 and I still feel small, even though most of the time people in my area are much smaller.
