Does solvents affect potency?

Doing some brewing and testing. First brew of tne (oil) was

2%ba
20%gui
50/50 gso and eo

It did hold and stuff was awesome. In about 1 1/2 hrs I was ready to flip my car over. Only problem, the gui was killing me. I could taste the stuff and it burned bad injecting. The next day I would have a red welt on site for about 3 days.

Tried another brew.

2%ba
5% gui
50/50 gso and eo

This held. It's fairly smooth. Only problem, it doesn't have no where near the "kick". I'm not sold on that recipe.

Do you have to play with a recipe to meet the fine line of potency/pain?

Its not the potency.
Its the amount of solvent.
So while it is only ever so slight, the carrier may inhibit absorption.
So if your using mostly solvents your test will likely release from deposit faster than if you have more GSO in the recipe.
Again this is minimal but if it slows the release enough to make it take 6 hours instead of 1.5 your gonna notice a difference probably. Both are suspension and will work roughly the same in the end.
It also may be a psychosomatic symptom.
