Deep** please excuse the misspelling

A lot of pros get tissue work and chiropractic work done to keep everything in order, further stretch the fascia, and to stay loose.

Since I cannot afford this now, does anyone know of a good alternative?

I notice especially after heavy back training I have knots in my back and I feel like my spine may be out of line. I try to crack my own back and do some foam rolling. This helps some.

Any tips?

Stretching(old fashion grab onto something and pull back to stretch the back/lats top to bottom) really let it open up, the foam roller is also a tool i use, get a really solid one, not the squishy ones. And one thing that's been great to me, a lacrosse ball. Use it on the floor, BUT i also place it between me and a wall and move it around to the tight spots. I have one at work and at home. Any time I feel something off, i hit it as soon as i can. You can get pretty good tissue work like that. With a bit of time it gets easier. Get creative with different arm positions etc. Can really help to loosen you up. I also have my girl walk on my back, glutes, hams when i can convince her.

Yes...do it on yourself or get a lacrosse ball and use it as well...

It doesnt fix everthing so dony be foole by the hype....you will be very sore...also it isnt to keep you loose it is when you have an injury

Awesome I will try the lacrosse ball. I would think using that on the floor would hurt.

Work up to it. On the Wall is easier to control pressure. You can also start with a tennis ball first. They are a bit soft though so you'll probably get used to it quick.

Tennis ball - soft
The minty tennis valls in the pet section of the store - bit more firm
Lacrosse ball - nice and firm feels hard really gets in there.

Baseball - see for yourself :D I use this while on my bed. Great for glutes.

Great for injuries, also for muscle relief in my experience.

It does help keep me loose by getting into those deep pinpoint tight spots.
Its all about how you use it. And the pressure you apply.

But yes on the floor can be rough. I mostly do it on the wall, unless I really want to put pressure on one spot a help it "let go".

I agree...some injuries benefit from it....some do not

You really have to find a person who really overstands myofascia release and the origin and insertiin of the ligaments and tendons sothey wont cause issues later on.
