Dumbells for home gym

The clip DBs suck ass. Don't bother. The BowFlex are too expensive. Get these. You can probably find some used ones on Craig's List or a local used sporting goods store.

Hit your nuts on sidebends???

I think we're gonna need pictures to understand that problem!

Those dumbells above are fine

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
got to agree here with those for adjustables. i bought mine a few years ago at sears. cheap but well made. you can put a shit ton of wieght on them with out a problem.

Get a yob to pay for it.

Have you priced standard dumbbell set from 5-75 lbs. It would cost you 2k or more.

That must be for state of the art stuff right? you can buy sets and expand them up to 75lbs for way less than that in the UK - probably about $2-300

Not sure what the price of steel is in the UK but it is pretty high here in the US.

I will provide a link to the cheapest sets that can get you to 75 lbs pairs and it is way more that what I got and takes up way more space.

CAP Hexagon Contour Handle Dumbbells

Please provide a link for this $2-300 set. I feel ripped off paying 450 to get a set of dumbbells that go from 5-75 lbs.

Ah I see our difference! you're talking about a set of dumbells - 1 pair at 5lbs 1 pair at 10lbs etc right? I was talking about a simple set of 1" bars with twist locking at 1" plates that you slot on like the ones DOMS recommended above - sorry!

NP on the differance. I figured we wern't talking about the same thing.

However the ones DOM showed are the cheapests, but I have never felt that safe with them. I guess that is why I have a set of them under my bed.

I honestly havent had a problem with them - the locking nut is very secure (at least on the sets I have) and I've taken them up to 88lbs without a problem. (Just to clarify thats for shrugs not curls! maybe one day!) :)

Actualy looking back at the ones DOMS posted with the twist on nut would be safe. I have the ones that DoubleBase has with the collars that have the bolt that cranks down on the bar to hold the weight on. Those are the ones that scared me. The bars are stout it is just the collar that I had an issue with.

I agree with you entirely there Lost, if I were using those I'd be keeping my feet close together!!! ;)
