i workout really late..(1200am-130am) is okay to drink a protein shake that late before i go to sleep?
 
yes to the protien before bed,yes to the bar... which kind is best... that will depend on your needs.are you trying to gain mass or trying to loose weight??be picky when it comes to bars,some companies make them just like snickers,they satisfy,but they don't help you GROW
 
No matter what time you finish working out it is always a good idea to have protein and some high glycemic carbs when you're done...yes, even if it's before bed. A shake with 30-60 grams of protein and 60-120 grams of carbs is just right.

Bars are not a bad substitute for a meal 1 or 2 times per day, but food and MRP's are better. Most of the high protein/medium carb bars are good...Labrada, MetRx, Muscle Tech, Biochem, Worldwide, Nature's Best, etc....
