As a toddler, I was force fed sticks of butter to maintain a healthy diet.

Growing up, I enjoyed lifting weights and had my mother buying groceries, so I was able to eat a lot of shakes (skim, oatmeal, natty pb, chocolate whey) in addition to deliciously prepared chicken/steak/pork with a good tasting healthy carb, etc.

Freshman year, I kind of relaxed a bit on the diet. I didn't have a car, I had free meals at the food court. So I'd good hearty meals, but nothing outrageously healthy like I had in high school.

Then school progressed and I got back into the swing of things, preparing healthy meals, etc.

Now, I'm on my own with limited funds to buy food. I basically eat 2 whole eggs, 3 whites with oatmeal/splenda/skim and fish/flax oils at every meal with protein shakes mixed in throughout.

I'm all egged out, I'm all oatmealed out. I literally just put it my mouth, try and chew it and then swallow it with water as if I were chasing a shot of tequila.

Even when I've been cheating lately, with Chipotle and other things I normally crave, I just don't care about food and see it more as a task more than anything else.

Believe me, if I wasn't addicted to getting bigger and stronger, I would look like a concentration camp survivor.

Even when I'm high, I don't get the uncontrollable munchies that many people talk about. I do feel less nauseous and am able to eat without having to force down every bite, but I still don't enjoy eating food.

Why is this?

Why are some people unable to take their mind off of food, yet for me, eating is the most annoying part of being awake.

I feel you on that. Same thing happened with me and eggs. I ate them every morning for about 8 months, then I could not stand them like you.

I also will lose weight if I just eat when I get full. Sounds like your relationship with food has become far unbalanced due to your need to force feed to gain weight. Food changes from an enjoyment to a strict fuel. Sounds like you took it too far and burnt out so to speak.

Same thing has happened to me. When it happens, I take a week or two and just eat whatever. I don't think about calories or nutrition, I just eat what I want and how much of it I want. No force feeding, no controlling parameters, nothing. Most of all, no thinking. That may bring you back to balance.

I look at hunger as a weakness. It is the hardest thing I do on a daily basis. I try to only take in the necessities ,and also keep calories refreshingly low. Although I am 6'3'' 185lbs. ,and people tell me I am a string bean, I have loose skin around belly button and rear hips. So I try to keep my calories to a minimum ,while meanwhile getting enough good to increase muscle at a good pace. It's hard ,and food is the key to it all. You problem is somewhat unique ,and people would love to have it. I use hot sauce on my eggs, bananas in my oatmeal, and eat sweet potatoes regularly. Just change up the way your preparing those certain things. I basically eat the same shit you do, except add tuna, turkey sausage, lean hamburger patties, and homemade protein bars. I like sweet foods so I have to eat alternatives to fattening sweets.

funny...when I was a toddler I used to steal butter. I had a real problem. I loved it. (real butter, not that margarine shit) I used to have to have a pat with every meal. My parents used to have to keep an eye on me or I'd go in the fridge and steal it. I did often. I remember one instance I had been trying to get some and my parents kept telling me no. Well they walked off just long enough for me to have gotten a stick of butter. When they came bac, like thirty seconds later I was sitting facing into the fridge with the door open. I had butter everywhere. I didn't get in trouble because it was one of those things that walked that thin line between bad and cute.

developing an aversion to eating sounds potentially disastrous. can you cut corners elsewhere to afford some of the meals your mom made that you enjoyed so much?

I'm the same way dude. Try what Fufu said. Take some time off.

If I don't force feed I lose weight. I can literally eat whatever I want and not gain weight. I will actually lose weight if I ate whatever I wanted. I have to pile the food in just to maintain. Are the stats in your sig current? Why not cheat a little bit? Go for the hamburgers or steaks. Buy the cheap eye round steaks. They are like 3$ for 4. They aren't very tender but you can make them taste good. Get creative with the fruits and veggies. I try everything. I'm addicted to brussel sprouts. I buy them frozen and eat them all week. What else are you eating? Pasta? That's cheap.

Well what you can try doing is fitting easy calories in there like nuts milk, try and drink your food like egg whites and stuff, what i usually do with the eggs is. I buy the egg whites in a carton type container it has like 12 of them or so, and i poor the whites in a glass put a tablespoon of sugar or your case splenda.......and then put some cinnamon because i like the taste of cinnamon instead of sweet egg white right. And just chug it down tastes like your dirnking sweet cinnamon haha! cinnamon powder is cheap so is sugar. I find adding that extra zest to whatever makes adding cals to your diet that much easier. Also another thing to keep in mind DO NOT stuff yourself as much as you can in a meal until you are full, seriously just eat until your like i can eat more. Then just keep adding and adding to it. That should make your stomach get gradually bigger and you wont have that hard of a time stuffing.

Another thing that i have not done yet but friends do is, injecting b12 shots. That will increase appetite and more energy also. I am definatly going to try this for myself and suggesting mabye you should look into it.

Not really, I've been trying to care less about what I eat though.

I'm back in the grind, eating semi-healthy I call it.

Been having a nice big salad with grilled chicken for dinner every night, just about. But then having turkey/pepper jack cheese on wheat sandwiches, tuna with regular mayo, 10% ground sirloin/vodka sauce/barilla plus/frozen peas, etc.

I need to start looking at the eye round steaks. I love steak and other red meats, i've mainly avoided them because their expensive.

This weekend I bought some blackberries, strawberries, bananas, and rasberries that were all on sale.

I'm starting to get better...
