I have noticed that since I stopped drinking beer (basically down to once per week) I have had a LOT less energy.

Do you think there is an actual correlation, or is it a coincidence?

Also, what kind of vitamins or supplements can I take to have more energy? Nothing crazy or gimmicy. Thanks.

Beer is fuel, fuel is good......

I like beer. I am bottling a batch right now. Oatmeal stout. Since it's oatmeal, it makes a good breakfast food.

Have you had Founders Breakfast Stout...Very Nice!

Liquid Wheaties, the fuel that makes the rest of the world bearable! ;)

When you drink it once a week, how many are you having? Are you sure there is nothing else that could be causing it? Maybe you just aren't as happy without the drinking. I have fun when I drink a little, and so even the next day if I'm a little tired I feel great.

beer makes me sleepy so i have the weird habit of cleaning house drinking beer while i have a coffee going too. i said they need a caffeinated beer and someone told me there is

It's called Sparks, everytime I go to my weed sources house I drink a couple cause he alway's has cases of the stuff..... I told him if he stopped smoking so much weed he wouldn't need an energy drink beer..... or to at least go out and get some cocaine and do it right......

I'm with the, "Beer is fuel.." idea. I am a very high calorie person. Before beer it was candy and pop. If I cut down this or that a new source of easily digested compact calories would be needed.

A couple months ago I dated a girl who drank this swill. It tastes like fermented orange juice and urine. It is one of the primary reasons I told her that I didn't want to see her anymore.

When you're chinese eyed and parched it tastes like carbonated water and tang.....

Beer that is brewed with Hops doesnt give you energy. In Herb guides you will find that the Hops plant is a Sedative ( thats why if you drink a lot without the added stimulants of other crap you wont want to do anything. Thats why people pass out if they drink to much of it) also Hops is an Estrogen producer ( its not the calories or carbs in beer that gives you that flabby beer gut, its the Estrogen promoting fat storage). Not telling you not to drink Beer guys just saying Decide what you want and understand the consequences. Dont get angry at me, get angry at mother nature she's the one that made the Hops plant. Refrences google a book called Mens Vital Health written in 1995 by one of Britains and the worlds leading experts on Botanical medicine.

It use to be used to prevent, the scurvy.... dunno just sayin' :D

I have not tried that one. The only Founders beer I have tried is the Centennial IPA, and as IPA's go, that one is so-so. Founder's stuff ain't cheap.

I've been getting Heathe ale and Scots pine Ale both brewed the way they did pre 1500's with herbs ( Gruit) not Hops. Pricy but tasty, its an import from Scotland.

IainDaniel I never heard that one I'll have to look it up interesting the complexity of the Hops plant how it can be good in some ways and bad in others, overall I think for anyone focused on building a championship Physique the fact that it slows the production of Testosterone thru an increase in Estrogen production will keep me looking for Hops free brews.

Natural Ice.....gives you wings

enjoy your beer but in 10 or 15 yrs dont come crying and act like nobody told you to stay away from hops. Enjoy the extra Estrogen

Her: Hey, want me to come over?

Me: Sure thing babe! I'm headed to the liquor store, you want anything?

Her: HELLZ YES! grab me some Sparks!

Me: Nevermind

Apparently using "Z's" in place of "S's" enrages me when combined with a poor choice of drink.

What's her number ?

Hmmm...

If you do find more, I would be curious to know the brands and locations where available...

As for the two you mentioned before "Heather" and "Scots Pine"...
Where are those available in the valley?

This is striking to me, because I have been feeling horrible lately
after consuming beer... And with more of a hangover, also comes fits of anxiety...
I know this happens because of the depressant nature of alcohol,
but other beverages (wine, whiskey, vodka) dont bring the anxiety
attacks like the beer has been... ESTROGEN?

As someone who has hashed bi-weekly for the last year-or-so,
I'll have to experiment with the non-hops beer, and will post results.

Could not find any book called "Mens Vital Health" written in 1995 or any other year... And you do not list who the actual author is...

Guess this has been snopes'd, unless I get more info.

:grumble:

Now...

The connection between "HOPS" and Phytoestrogens is 50yo...

There is even a study taken regarding sheep eating phytoestrogenic plants
and their fucking, and wool producing habits.
(this includes SOY, for you weird vegan BB's)

I don't see the aformentioned book,
but i'm switching to wine.

Here's a good source of all the things to avoid that are estrogenic, also what foods are Anti-Estrogenic......

What we also have to figure is the estrogenic chemicals that get into our foods via contamination.....those Non-hops beers may have had their ingredients grown in tainted soil.....
