He suffered another concussion earlier this week. They say it's a mild concussion, but when you have had six recently, how mild could it be? And from what I hear, it wasn't even that hard a hit.

That guy is on borrowed time. He is so close to being knocked out permanently, it's kind of scary.

It`s to bad the guy can`t stay healthy. One more serious shot to the head and he will be watching the games for good with his brother. He is having a good year and is one of the best players in hockey and many will argue a healthy Lindros is the best in the world. I know many of you philly fans don`t care for him, but Lindros on the ice playing is good for hockey. Whether you like him or not he`s a good drawing card in each city he visits. So I hope this head injury is as mild as they are saying.

He's a great player no doubt but I think he should quit before he ends up with perment brain damage.

Yeah, one hard hit, and he could be a vegetable for the rest of his life. He is really being stupid by continuing to play. At some point, you've got to put everything into perspective. I would not risk permanent brain damage.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, blah, blah, blah.........screw all that crap, has he played 50 games for the Rangers yet? If he gets knocked out of hockey before he's played 50 for them then there's a stipulation in the trade agreement that he gets sent back to us in Philly. Please tell me we won't have to put up with his whining again. PULEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!!!

Nope....37.

Admit ALBOB you would love to have him back, especially the way he had been playing before this latest injury. Ownership should take him back, fire Clarke and everyone would be happy.

what a major head ache, any player,in any sport, takes the chance of getting a life ending injury....its just not worth it,i agree that they make alot of money, too much as far as i'm concerned, but its not worth getting your bell rung for the 20th time.

Not everybody, I know I'm in the minority but I like Bobby Clarke. I know he's a grade A a$$hole, but everything he does is to make the Flyers a better TEAM, not a group of individuals. That's why Lindros is gone, he started thinking he was more important than the team. I'm not saying the Flyers medical staff did everything right, but he should have never critisized them publicly.

JR is 2nd in the league in plus/minus. A very underrated stat in my opinion.

And he's a much more team oriented player which is soooo improtant. He's also #2 in assists which proves his team player mentality. Sure it would be nice if he was scoring more goals, but if he's #2 in assists it means SOMEBODY on the team is scoring and that's all that matters.

I 'm pretty sure the stipulation is that if he gets knocked out before 50 games then the Flyers owe the Rangers a #1or a #2 pick in next years draft. Clarke would have never made a deal that would potentially send Lindros back to Philly for any reason.

God I hope you're right, but I would have sworn he was to be sent back. I also hope we don't have to find out, but I'm getting REAL nervous right now. :scared:

like him or hate him I think he is important to hockey, he makes his linemates better players. just look at Leclair.

how about little Theo walking out on the game on saturday? what little cry baby.

DAMN, I missed all the action on Saturday, what happened?

From what I saw, Theo got pissed off at some call on the ice and he threw a hissy fit. After getting called for his third slashing penalty of the game, he refused to go to the penalty box and headed straight to the locker room. He just upped and left the game, with over 7:00 left in the 3rd.

Dumbass.

OUCH, I hope he get's a MAJOR fine from the team. Now my REALLY dumb question, which Theo are we talking about?:(

The only Theo I know besides Fleury is Theo Radcliffe, and he plays basketball (but I could not tell you where).

Oh, there's Theo Huxtable too, I guess.

I heard on SportsCenter that the Rangers are not going to punish him at all, because he is working out some personal problems.

Some no-name on the Flyers scored four goals last night. What's THAT all about?

Yeah, I assumed it was Fleury, but wanted to make sure.

Dopita is working out SOOOO nice. He's one of the young guns we got from the Rangers for Lindros. I love how this thread has come full circle.:D

When it comes right down to it, I betcha the Flyers wish they still had Peter Forsberg.

Uhhhh..........working on only one cup of coffe this morning my brain's kind of slow right now. Why would we want someone who's not playing? OK, he would have been VERY nice during the finals against the Red Wings, but NOW?

The way Forsberg performs in the playoffs, you'd have two Stanely Cups under your belt if you'd kept him.

True, he is sitting out a season, but he'll be back. The man actually plays injured (unlike many of today's spoiled athletes). He took the year off to let his body recover, so he'd be totally free of injury for once.

I am a Wings fan, but Forsberg is awesome.

Better than your Flyers. Come to think of it, I believe the Wings are the best team in hockey right now. That's what having a
real goaltender will do for a team.

Yep, Flyer's had a pretty rough start to the season, but we're on a MAJOR roll and we've got TWO pretty darn good goal tenders sooooooooo. See ya' in the funny papers.:wave2:

thats why i refered to him as "little Theo"

actually he wasn't one of the three that came over for Eric. Dopita is a 33 yr old star from the cech. elite league or something.

The Flyers are still a growing team that will continue to imrove. the goaltending is not one of their faults right now with both net minders playing pretty well. Dopita having a 5 point game hopefully will bring him out of his shell and show him it doesn't hurt to shoot the puck. yes detroit is the best team in the Nhl right now and they are probably the only team that is superior to Philly man for man.

Are you sure??? I would have sworn he was involved in that trade. Oh well, I'm glad we've got him and not Eric. To Eric's credit, he played an intense game last night. The Rangers are a big group of individuals right now instead of a team, but Eric did look impressive. Saturday will be awesome when he comes back to actually play on Philly ice for the first time. Should be one hell of a game.

Dude, that was SCARY good last night to come back from a three goal defecite to win in O/T. OK, they weren't up against the NHL elite, but still. Wow, I'm looking forward to a Philly/Detroit match-up. Fire on Ice!!!!!
