im not a great fan of Germany but if those to met Holland will be going home.

as good as they look going forward there weaker at the back.

Classic game in every sense. Turkey down by two goals with 15 ,mins to go. Got one, last 4 minutes - Cech drops the ball, Nihat scores. Then Nihat scores a brilliant goal in the 90th minute 3 -2. Then the Turkey keeper is sent off for pushing Koller.

Mad. But what a ride.

Well 2-0 for italy now. They are pretty much through. France is a man down.

Gattuso won't be much of a loss, in my opinion, but I can't say the same for Pirlo. That is devastating for Italy...but to all the doubters, they are in the Quarterfinals :thumb: and we should see them do pretty well

Spain have the best midfield in the tournament, and have the two best forwards. It dose'nt look good for Italy, but history deems that they get stronger as the tournament progresses.....

Turkey do it again. I have never seen a streak of luck like this. In the last three games they have come from behind only to score an ultra-last minute goal to o through against the odds.

Last night, Croatia scored in the last minute of extra time. Game over..... not quite, long ball up field and Turkey score in literally the very last second of the game. Then one won penalties. Amazing.

That was some game between Italy and Spain. Unfortunately, my 'Azzuri' lost on Penalty Kicks. Kudos to Spain. Their goalkeeper made two huge saves in the shoot-out.
 
It kills me to wait every 4 years for the Euro and World Cup. It's such a shame Americans hate soccer. I don't know why they do, but I love it.

You think? Thought it was one of the more boring games of the tourney so far, but it was always going to be cagey between two technically and tactically adept sides.

I'm liking Russia at the moment, they keep getting better and better and are great to watch.

The man speaks the truth. I guess it's every two, between Euros and World cup. Keeps it special I guess. The US keep getting better every tournament despite having a poor league and being like 4th choice sport. With a top coach, could do very well.
 
Italy didn't deserve to win that game at all.

I kinda gree. Luca Toni had an absolutely terrible tournament. Spain was probably their best defensive game but their performance in the PK's was pitiful. I knew De Rossi was going to miss. I don't really like his play. Mauro Camoranesi is still my fav Italian.
