Simply stated, a fascist government always has one class of citizens that is considered superior (good) to another (bad) based upon race, creed or origin. It is possible to be both a republic and a fascist state. The preferred class lives in a republic while the oppressed class lives in a fascist state.

More than a class system, fascism specifically targets, dehumanizes and aims to destroy those it deems undesirable.

Until the Civil Rights act of 1964, many parts of the US were Republic for whites and could be considered fascist for non-Caucasian residents. Fascism promotes legal segregation in housing, national resource allocation and employment. It provides legal justification for persecuting a specific segment of the population and operates behind a two tiered legal system. These two tiers can be overt as it was within Nazi Germany where Jews, Homosexuals, Catholics, Communists, Clergy and the handicap were held to one set of rules and courts, while the rest of Germany enjoyed different laws.

Or it can be implied and held up by consensual conspiracy, (people know it is wrong but do nothing to stop it or change it. Through lack of action, they give consent), as it was in the deep South for African Americans and others of color. In Fascism, one segment of society is always considered less desirable, sub-human or second class.

(Note: no single government is pure anything. Most have elements of several structures with one dominant structure). Below is the political definition and general characteristics of a fascist country. TOP

Your definition of a bit strange using pre 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Fascism does involve a small minority making decisions for the masses for the betterment of the masses (they claim) but in particular, for the betterment of the state.

Corporations, and glofication of the military. Race may or may not be an issue.

I do believe in modern America, there are many elements of fascism.

Unelected bureaucrats decided to take the U.S. to war for the betterment of the American people, the economy (Chinese oil demand rising to alarmist levels), and American corporations. There has been massive glorification of the American military in recent years, also.

I'm not sure where you are getting that definition of fascism but it simply isn't true. It may have been true of some fascist governments but it is not a defining quality of a fascist government. To be a fascist government you simply only need to have a dictatorship and free enterprise system. (If you have a dictatorship without a free enterprise system you are communist)

tool......read before you shit out your mouth
PATHETIC

I sent an email to George W. Bush asking if he feels his facist side poking out. Here's the reply:

On behalf of President Bush, thank you for your correspondence. We appreciate hearing your views and welcome your suggestions. Due to the large volume of e-mail received, the White House is unable to respond to every message, and therefore this response is an autoreply.

duh... I did read those posts. I meant I am not sure where whoever wrote that article (that you both copied) got their definition of fascism because it is faulty and obviously just made up along with most of the rest of it to get weak minded people that read it to say, "Oh look, omg, here's proof that America is fascist"...

Don't mindlessly believe and repost the propaganda crap you read. :finger:
