fast or slow digestion protein?

sorry if this sounds stupid but which is better for post-workout? i've heard you should take a fast-digesting protein such as whey after your workout, which would make sense. but, i've also heard, that you should take a slow digesting protein post-workout since it inhibits protein breakdown or something...
can someone please clarify? :confused: :confused:
 
Fast digesting protein such as whey or egg whites.
