I'm getting some bloodwork done just to check up on cholesterol, blood sugar, and thyroid.

They've advised me to fast for 9 hours prior. My appointment is at 8:00 AM.

My question is, should I still take my 10:30 PM before bed cottage cheese, nat pb, fish oil meal the night before? I am hoping for the most accurate results for my labs, so if I have to stop eating 12 hours before, I will. However, if 9 is fine I'll get that last meal in :)

Also wondering which nutrients would be best to eat after the appointment/fast? Faster digesting protein and some carbs while limiting fats would be my guess.

Thanks!

There is your answer.

It shouldn't matter, really.

And as far as what to eat after...just eat your normal breakfast. Honestly, missing one meal or waiting an additional two hours or so to eat breakfast and then altering your meal schedule for one day isn't going to affect you at all.
