Fat People -------- ***rant***

Not that I abstain from junk food entirely...

I give you the best sandwich ever created:

Monte Cristo

Ingredients:

* 6 slices cooked turkey
* 6 slices Swiss cheese
* 6 slices cooked ham
* 6 slices American cheese
* 18 slices wheat bread

***Batter***

* 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 tablespoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/3 cup water
* 1 large egg --beaten
* Oil --for deep frying
* Powdered sugar
* Red raspberry jelly

Directions:

Assemble sandwiches: Bread, turkey, Swiss cheese, bread, ham, American cheese, bread; cut in half diagonally.

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together to blend well. Add water to the egg and add to the flour mixture mixing well. Dip each sandwich half into the batter and deep-fry (oil must cover the sandwich) in oil pre-heated to 360 degrees until golden brown.

Remove from oil to paper towels. Sprinkle with the powdered sugar. Serve with warm or room temperature jelly, if desired.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know what the caloric content is, but it's safe to assume that this sandwich will shave a month off of your life expectancy.

if you have big/fat genes in your blood then you will definately end up fat.. This can be controlled when you are a kid by your parents but once you hit the adult age its up to you to maintain your weight..

sad but true, some people have NO problem staying thin/lean while eating pizzas and burgers 24/7. Some people eat 'good' and stay fat..

I strongly believe this can be controlled from childhood! Me for example grew up mid size.. always had big bones but had a 6pack:).. My mum is kinda big so our portions were controlled as kids! I grew big/muscular but not fat! now at 25 I'm 325lbs, 6'3 (20ish bodyfat).. I have been 280lbs solid.. but I know for sure if my folks didnt ration our food I would be 500lbs + easy.

Sorry to say, but it really depends on what the parents are feeding the kids from baby-14 or so. Like someone said, asking your 2 year old what he wants ot eat is wrong; I was never given that option.. you either eat the nasty baked potatos and greens or go to bed.

Unfortunately in out society now, kids run the show. Its amazing how scared parents are of 2yr olds.. I'm not judging anyone or saying people are bad parents, just talking from my personal experience.

My g/f aint big but I know if I have kids they have the tendency to be big kids, my plan from day one (once they pop put the coochie) is give them low fat/decent protein/carb mean. Absolutely NO SODA or mcdonalds.. Kids that are fed good from young always grow up to hate junk food

bah im rambling and probably make no sense.. lol

I have weight issues, but mine are due to health problems...I am Hypo Thyroid and I had undiagnosed Gestational Diabetes where I gained over 80 pounds. This is not an excuse because I can lose the weight, and have lost 40 pounds since Jan and will continue to lose. NOT because of someone's comments, but because I want to stick around for my two boys.

Both of those health problems can be controlled with medication. Besides, I don't think someone like you is who he is referring to. I think he is referring to the "Poor me, you should give me your seat on the train, I take up 2 seats, give me a handicap parking sticker, McDonalds made me fat" people.

I like cookies too much, so if you are going to throw them away, send them this way. Especially if they are Oatmeal Raisin cookies.

No, the greatest sandwich ever invented was the one Rodney Dangerfield made in the beginning of Back to School at that party his wife threw. If I could find out what the hell he put into that thing I would make it every day. The fact that he started out by taking the trouble to hollow out the bread is just pure genius, such is Rodney.

The saddest thing is...

This is my most successful thread!

For accuracy's sake, that's true to a degree. But those are both chronic health conditions that can only be managed, not cured. Many people on thyroid replacement never lose the excess weight because there are so many things going on with thyroid disease, that one medication cannot control it. And the issues are so subtle and complex, there will probably never be a cure. That is, everything the thyroid does is not known or understood.

The problem is that someone with "basically managed" thyroid disease may be overweight and considered a fat lazy slob. I submit that no one should be judged for what they look like, because no one else walks in their shoes. One of those fat people who needs to sit down on a bus or train may be one of those with a legitimate health problem. But they don't wear signs that say "I really have a health issue so be nice and don't judge me".

I know from experience, because despite diet and exercise, I carry 20+ lbs of excess fat. I've posted pics on other forums and been called a fat slob, a pig that should die, and so on. But the weight gain came because of genetic reasons: I am insulin resistant and pre-diabetic. Well no wonder I couldn't lose the weight! Now, it's coming off because I had to get even tougher. But those people that called me a fat slob didn't know or care why I was fat.

Just don't judge, period.

Posted by ME: So true.

I know a guy that is a total health nut, doesn't eat anything unhealthy, and is a personal trainer. He had a son about 7 years ago. The guy and his wife only fed the kid nutritional food and kept away from sugar foods completely, no sodas either. The funny thing is that they brought the kid to a birthday party when he was about 4 years old. One of the parents "accidently" gave lil' Dakota (The guy's son) a piece of cake. He spit it out in disgust. And now he still hates junk food and will not eat it.

Oh, yeah, that healthy for a kid.:rolleyes:

We wonder why there are so many unhealthy kids in America, then we come across a response like this and we have our answer.

my kids have given up sugar except for the occasional treat n it really was not that hard to do usually if u are doing something out of love for them they will appreciate it. and i think treats are ok in the right doses, we made brownies the other day n froze most of them one or two a week won't kill them. and for thanksgiving u can best bet i'll be making pumpkin cheesecake n eating some of it too. :)

People deserve to be treated with respect no matter how they look, how much they weigh, or what disability they might have. Shitbirds like Monkey spunk and Foreskin, who make fun of overweight people, are the same ones who would make faces at children with Downs syndrome.

I'd like to bitch slap both of them down the street until they cried for their mommies......................Uncle Rich............. :wave:

I stand by all my statements fatty..... now get in your scooter and go buy some grape soda and Cheeto's. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

How many times when you're out at the clubs do you approach very heavy women in the hopes of a relationship.

Since when do people go to clubs in the hopes of any relationship (other than just purely sexual)?

So how often do you go out looking for grossly obese women to fuck???

Foreman, you are going to make one hell of a parent...NOT!

If you think that kid has a healthy attitude, you are freaking nuts. That is over the top.

I guess in your world, being thin is the most important thing. I knew you were shallow, but you continue to drain more and more water out of the pool

I'd stack my parenting abilities against yours any day of the week. You are just a punk with a mouth.

Yep. Moderation is the key.

It's safe to assume that until he stop dating his right hand and starts dating women, he'll never be a parent.

I think Foreman is already with child.

Minotaur-I agree that respect should be shown. I also feel that they should not be on disability. I have no problem with people who are fat, if you want to be that way and are happy, great. I do not like the people who fall into the attitude, "Oh poor me, I can't do anything". You have taken the right attitude and said, "I have to work harder". That is the point, a large majority of the people would not take that avenue, they would just fall deeper into their defeatist attitude. Muggsy Bogues was all of 5'3" and still got into the NBA. His attitude could have been, "Well shit, I am a foot shorter than most of the players out there, I have no chance." He didn't, he was like, "Believe in yourself and you will achieve your goals, I am living proof. Beefcake.

BEEFCAKE!!!!!!!

I want Foreman to meet a black, gay man....who is fat.

I think he will exlplode, especially if this fat, black, gay man is religious.

I'd be happy if he met anyone & left the board. Until that day, ignoring him seems to be more gratifying than arguing with him.

Well, exactly. I can't argue with that. It's OK to be fat if that's what you want. If you don't want to do anything about it OK, but don't ask for special treatment.
