I have started a lower carb diet lately to shed some fat, and have been struggling a little bit finding good, easy to make high qual protein meals that keep me full. Breakfast is easy- 2 eggs, some egg whites and a few slices peameal bacon without the trimming keeps me full for hours. A few of my other favorites are canned chili, a cold bean salad that I keep stocked in the fridge at all times, and tuna/salmon/sardines with some avocado. Also, a good old fashioned protein shake with water generally finds its way into each day.

What are some of your favorite, high protein, and relatively easy and quick meals to make? or favorite high protein concoctions in general? I am finding it much harder to quell my appetite since ive started eating less carbs.

Half a pound of steak will kill any hunger real quick.

Half pound of ground turkey or beef with Frank's Red Hot and hot salsa is my nightly before bed meal at around 11PM.

Well if you want to get full, couple your protein with fibrous veggies.

Steak salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, seafood salad, etc.

You've got to load up on your vegetables to stay full (plus they are good for you).

Like you it's breakfast. However, I add cottage cheese for a side and cheddar cheese to the eggs. I add cheese to everything.

A side of cottage cheese is a good add-on to any meal, IMHO. It's the potato of protein foods.

That reminds of of Forest Gump when bubba is naming all the types of Shrimp foods, only with salad and protein "you got your steak salad, your chicken salad. Egg salad. Tuna salad. Salad a 'la beef. Gumbo salad. Salad'n'beef..."
Just a neverending log of fibre and protein, I love it.

The cottage cheese is great... THATS what I had been forgetting. I was looking for something to add to my proteins to keep me full... I am pretty much going to add Cottage cheese and salad to meals in place of bread or rice. Another thing I like to do is pair seemingly odd things together... Like I will have a chicken breast and a banana, or ill mix tuna, avocado, some crushed nuts, olive oil and lemon (thats actually delicious by the way, I thoroughly recomend it). Though, I still occasionally dine on half a baked potato, or sweet potatoes when the situation calls for it. But my days of french fries and fresh white loaf bread...god its good... are coming to an end.
