I was walking in downtown Hartford yesterday, and a firetruck with sirens and horns blasting slowly drove past. It was loud. Made me cringe as the truck drove past.

Just felt like sharing that story.

:tomato:

Hmmmm, always walk on da street with ear protection,it's just a tad bigger then a condom!!!
;)

Servus!

IAB - you aren't kidding! The average ambulance siren puts out a deafening 120dB - this is due to the large number of drivers that have windows up and the $17,000 stereo cranked as loud as it'll go.

Plug your ears next time - seriously. Even short term loud noise can cause irreparable hearing loss!

(Being half-deaf from my Army years sucks... :( )

isn't that nearly as loud as a 747 taking off?
