Hi. new to board but have been a long time fan of this site. 42 yrs. old and coming off a slight shoulder strain or maybe rotator cuff issue. 3 wks. of rest and predisone. Just doing some leg work. Very frustating. Any input on how hard I should push or certain exercises to avoid would be welcome. Injury caused from using a ice mutt at work, shoveling snow and doing hang cleans. thanks.
 
Thank God I didn't have any tears but I did have shoulder surgery 18 months ago for a bone spur, cleaning out some frayed tendons and remove some arthritis in my AC joint. What I did for rehab and also have done regularly for any upper body training day is something like this

I use cables and light DBs. It makes a huge difference - when you start screwing up your rotator, it never really recovers so the more you can do in terms of developing the stabilizers the better position you'll be in going forward.
