From my bit of research on these forums it would seem that Flax Oil is good, Fish Oil is better. I've been taking flax for many months now and have appreciated the at least perceived results (mainly improved cardio sessions)

I have yet to try fish oil but was tempted when I had a bout with some flax oil I left out over night! Ugh..

My question is would it make any logical sense to, for example, take both on alternate days? Or even in combination daily. Maybe it's a foolish idea so maybe someone has a simple answer?

Its a good idea to get food from a diverse amount of sources

Well yes I would agree in general but I'm curious as to any particular benefits of these two supplements in combination

not inherently, i dont think

There are no synergistic benefits but taking both is better than just take one or the other.

Is it better to take flax seed oil or to get the fats from the actual flax seed

I still have a pack of flax seeds but I'm not sure if I should just get rid of them or not

Flax seeds ground up is better for you than flax oil.

thanks jod, I was thinking about just sprinkling some over salads and such..

is this a good idea or do i need to grind them up to receive the benefits?

as long as they get thouroughly chewed. I actually would munch on them plain, for a short amount of time.

nice, in that case, what would be an ideal serving size to receive the benefits of the flax seeds?
