Hi Cell Blasters,
I approach you all for words of wisdom and guidance.
I am back into BB after a gap of 4 years. Before that trained diligently for two years. Do I qualify as a beginner?
Bought this Arnold's BB Encyclopedia and am following his routine for beginners:
Monday & Thursday
-----------------
Chest: Bench Press, Incline Press, DB Flys
Back: Chin ups, BOver Rows
Power: Deadlifts
Abs
Tuesday & Friday
---------------
Shoulder: Military Press, DB Lateral raises
Power: Upright Rows
Arms: BB Curls, DB Curls, Close grip press, tricep extn with BB
Forearms: Wrist curls, Reserve curls
Wednesday & Saturday
--------------------
Thighs: Lunges(Warm up), Squats, Legpress, Leg curls
Calves: Standing calf raises, seated raises, one leg seated raises
Power: Straight leg dead lifts, Good mornings
Abs
I use 4 X 12,10,8,6 for most exercises. My goal is to bulk and I am putting all effort in correct nutrition (6 meals, Whey, Creatine, vitamin).
Reading the helpful articles by CowPimp, P-funk, Dale etc. I see how Bodybuilding and training has evovled. Most of the current articles suggest TBT or split routines for beginners. CP's article suggested 3 day split- Week A: Upper - Lower - Upper / Week B: Lower - Upper - Lower
Is the above routine by Arnold (kalifornia) old school? Should I rather be training 3 times a week only? Any suggesting or advice will be highly appreciated.
Hope you well.
