Hey guys. I am getting everything together for a new bulking cycle and am running into a bit of a problem: I live in a college dormitory.

I get 2 solid meals everyday from the cafeteria, but the other 6 I must prepare myself. All I have to work with is a fridge (No freezer), microwave, paper plates and a relatively small budget.

I ordered some Myoplex online and am going to Meijer tomorrow. So the question is, what are to some solid sources of complex carbs, protein and fat that only require a microwave to prepare?

hey man i feel you pain with being in college and the limited budget, does your caf allow take-out plates and things like that? I have found that peanut butter is a must, and protien bars are a big help. as far as prepping food in the microwave things like instant oatmeal and ready to cook brown rice is really good sources of complex carbs. Also at your nearby grocery they should have things like tuna and salmon in pouches that can be microwaved for like 30 seconds and taste somewhat decent. I know oatmeal and tuna as a meal doesnt sound appealing to the taste, but if your trying to pack on size then in my opinion taste has to be sacrificed sometimes.

a.) Steal from the cafeteria. Chicken, rice, veggies, etc. That's what I did.

b.) College essentials
- Tuna
- Oats
- Whey
- FOREMAN GRILL (buy a little bit of chicken and cook it this way...lean ground beef/turkey, turkey breast, pork, steak, etc.)
- Peanut butter
- Milk
- Decent cereals
- Fruits/veggies
- Beans
- Cottage cheese
- Yogurt
- Get a little plug-in stove top thing, make some eggs.

You can make it alright in college, I'm holding up fine.

Rice, potatoes, peanut butter, nuts, olive oil, whey protein, tuna, oats, fruit

Even eggs (yes, you can actually cook eggs in a microwave).

Almost all of those you can find cheap at a bulk store like Costco, and a lot of them will last for a long time.

What about the fat content?

Whats wrong with fat?
No sat fat in my ramen at least!
:nerd:

However it wasnt a serious reply. Ramen is just almost a worldwide college staple. I wouldnt eat a ton of it but hey....its not gonna kill ya. You are bulking right?

Fun times. We would have chests full of it. Various flavors. People would walk in and say," hey, let me get a beef....that brand with the little face on it "they taste better (maruchan, I have some in my pantry right now) We would trade like baseball cards. haha. " hey you got spicey shrimp?? never tried that, I'll trade you a creamy chicken for it"...."deal."
