Pearl Jam are far and away the best band on the planet.

That's my opinion, which means it is true and all of you must comply and agree.

And I actually think you truly believe that somewhere in the back of your mind.

I mean really, what do you know? You have no hair!

Have you not seen that episode of The Simpson's?

Speaking of good music, what do ya all think of Velvet Revolver?

They were on Leno tonight, and Ive liked them for a while. I was a big fan of both GnR and STP.... so its natural.

Most supergroups dont last long, but these guys are good, and I hope they do.:thumb:

There are several good bands out there that have been spawned from other bands that have broken up.

Velvet Revolver is excellent. Some other good ones are Switchfoot, Stratus, Fuel, and Shinedown.

I am also a huge fan of Staind, Puddle of Mud, and Incubus.

But being that I am 35 years old, I also have alot of affection for several rock bands that were major in the 70s and 80s.

What other "supergroups" out there are good, in your opinion? Im not a big fan of any others that I can think of.

Switchfoot is great, so is Fuel. Never heard of stratus or shinedown.

Of course, Staind, POM, and Incubus are great too. Staind actually got discovered by Fred Durst up the road in Hartford. Theyre from Springfield, just over the border into MA.

I saw Puddle of Mudd this past summer at Jones Beach in Long Island, fuckin awesome. They opened for Kid Rock, who is even better.

Hey, Im only 22 and have a "lot of affection" for a lot of rock bands of the 70's/80's. A lot of great music came out of those decades. :thumb:

IMO Creed/Alter Bridge will be long forgotten very soon and peeps will still be turning up Pearl Jam. The album 'Ten' was an instant classic and they continue to put out quality albums. "Often duplicated, never imitated"

Age has nothing to do with it. My 13 yr old is totally into Metallica. He was listening to the Who the other day and was amazed that I knew the words to "Pinball wizard". Are you freaking kidding me? That came out when I was in HS:laugh:

The guys you hand with? Umm... I just don't wanna know.

 I have a wide taste of music. I also like Jazz and Blues. The only style that I absolutely despise is Country Music. :shake:

but i love Behind blue eyes, too bad limpbizkit had to redo it, i dont enjoy their version very much...

I also like Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath/Ozzie, the stones, The mighty mighty bosstones, Leonard Skinnard (lol), pearl jam, and a lot more of the "older" bands, and stevie ray vaughn :)

I also like Everlast and Alice in Chains but im not sure how old they are

Get the new Alter Bridge CD. Its Creed without Scott Stapp, but I think they are even better. Amazing CD if you like this type of music.
I have it. :thumb: LOVE it!! Creed was awesome... the song Higher reminds me sooo much of a guy I fell in love with once... didn't love me back but we are still friends. :thumb:
