Thanks Marky! I love puttin' Gala or Fuji apples along with some cinnamon in my oatmeal...yum!

I don't know if I'd go as far as saying eat 6 servings of fruit a day... Veggies have a lot less calories than fruits, and fruits are high in sugars. I myself love eating fruit, and buy them whenever they are on sale, but it really throws off my target calorie intake. I'm going to try cutting out all fruit except for strawberries, apples, and pears soon.

Yes fruits are good to eat.

Try to eat fruits for breakfast and after training becuase this is when your natural insulin spikes will be at their highest.

I would not recommend having fruit before bed time if you are trying to lose weight becuase of the high sugar content.

Avoid fruit at night basically

Ummm...??? Do you mean this is when your insulin sensitivity will be at it's highest?

Because fruit does not spike insulin levels...

Actually there is nothing wrong with fruit at night. It can actually be highly anabolic and can aid in weight loss too - it helps to prevent catabolism during the evening, helps to retain lean mass loss and helps to prevent metabolic down-regulation when dieting.

Fruits are great. :thumb: Eat up!!

2-3 servings a day is adequate for most people, but if fruits are your only carb source then 5 servings would be fine... It depends on the individual and their goals.

Vegetables - well these just about are an all you can eat food! :chomp: Yum!

I did not imply fruit spiked insulin levels...I implied that you could eat them for breakfast and after training because this is when your insulin levels are highest as your muscle cries out for food.

Nothing wrong with fruit at night for the average person - true! But this is not what amatuar level and top bodybuilders do.
