So I saw this guy at the gym this morning doing his bench presses (he appears to do them three times a week). The guy arches his back so much during his lift that you could literally fit a softball between his back and the bench. He's benching 225, but with horrible form. That got me thinking: Is it better to have really bad form than no form at all? I suppose lifting and looking foolish and risking injury is better than not lifting at all. I don't know...no question here. Just a random thought.
By the way, this same guy uses the old "rock the upper body" technique during his barbell curls.
Remember for all you beginners: Don't worry about lifting a lot of weight. Proper form is more important that piling on more plates.
