german volume training

I just started doing this and it's kicking my butt.

Very impressed with it.

I think it's a shit ton of volume with kind of a light weight. If you find a good place to apply something like that in your program, then go for it.

^ yea, i have never found a way to put something like this into a program.

Some people rave about it for pure bodybuilding purposes. I imagine it would be good for sarcoplasmic hypertrophy/carb depletion purposes. I would think muscular endurance would also improve if you keep the rest interval moderate to low.

I would assume if you were really used to a low volume routine, if you use this for a month or so......I would think your body would respond nicely.....

What would you think of a routine that consisted of:

10x5 Flat BB bench

as opposed to:

5x5 Flat BB bench
3x8 Incline DB bench
2x10 Weighted dips

Not as high a rep range as most GVT programs, however a similar principle. I have no interest in using a press program of only bench, just currious as to its effectiveness.
