Getting a job as a personal trainer....

I'm moving to Paris and might have to get a 2nd job to meet ends. I was thinking of personal training. Assuming i speak french well enough, is it relatively easy or hard/ competitive to get a job? As far as certification, here in Alberta we have the AFLCA which is a 20ish hour course; is this generally a proper time frame for trainer certification? Putting aside exchange rates, what can one expect to earn part time as a trainer?
