after the seller had the interior upgraded I've finally taken possession of my aircraft. going to make my first solo flight to the VI's on monday!

fuck you TSA!

thanks! I'm pretty stoked. I've made the trip 3x so far but I was with one of my hs buddies who's a 20 veteran pilot. this will be my first solo flight over the ocean like this.

LAM, send us a email from the Bermuda Triangle just before you disappear and tell us what you see.

funny that you mention that because I was scared to death flying out there when I was a child because of all the story's I had read on the Devil's Triangle. I "think" i'm over it, but i'll know for sure come monday.

and if I go down i'll try to make sure to send you guys at IM some pics before I ditch.

what you got? a cessna? My old man had one of those for years. Crash-landed it on a beach and a turnip patch

Have a good flight and be sure to give the TSA the middle finger as you fly away.

seeing as your non-college educated ass has never written or obviously read an actual research paper, it's called citing a source. you cite sources for several reasons:

* Paraphrasing involves putting a passage from source material into your own words. A paraphrase must also be attributed to the original source. Paraphrased material is usually shorter than the original passage, taking a somewhat broader segment of the source and condensing it slightly.

*the use of quotations must be identical to the original, using a narrow segment of the source such as several paragraphs or one of multiple pages. They must match the source document word for word and must be attributed to the original author (such as a direct link, etc.)

I prefer the later is it allows the reader to view the information in the same form as myself with out having to read "my interpretation" of the information which allows them to drawl their own conclusions and analysis from that information. when I see information that can not be paraphrased with out making the information more confusing or causing a loss of information, I always use the direct quotes. as information goes from 1st hand to 2nd hand, 3rd hand, etc. it becomes more distorted and less factual. that being the case and from the lack of complete facts in 99% of your posts it would appear that most of your "information" is from the 50th hand or so.

you just don't see how truly ignorant and unlearned you are, it's so very sad...

yep but I got a good one a pretty decent one the 2000 Citation Bravo. I traded a guy in AZ my boat for it. I had to get a single pilot exemption for it. my boat was in was in San Diego (w/ me in Vegas) and I didn't use it much one of my old buddies was living on it so he got evicted...LOL

Seriously, man? This thread is just LAM talking about something fun he's going to do. I can be an ass, but come on, you don't shit in someone's fun thread.

LAM have a great time and be safe. Where are you flying from? How long is the flight? If you do crash, and i doubt you will. I wont miss most of your posts:sorry:.

mind your own.

LAM I know we had our disagreements, but whoa! What if you fall through a trans-dimensional portal thay leaves you stranded on an alternate plain only inhabited by Azzas? Oh damn man. Be careful!

congrats man good luck. what kind of avionics you got onboard. what model aircraft and engine

it's a 2003 Citation Bravo with the Honeywell Primus 1000 with PT6A-42A turboprops. it was a very well used and high hour aircraft (10K hrs) out of AZ but I got a great deal on it. the owner actually had the engines overhauled as part of our agreement and I paid to have the interior upgraded before I took possession of it.

I actually didn't fly out until yesterday. my flight path was from Ocala > Miami > St. Thomas

I wasn't as nervous as I thought. that Primus 1000 is truly great fly-by-wire system for an entry level jet like the Bravo.

Do you still have to fly straight up to get over the mountain leaving St. Thomas? The last time I was there the jet could only fuel enough to get to Puerto Rico to refuel to get up to the east coast.

yup...there are only 2 runways at STT #10 & #28 and they run parallel to each other with right/left traffic patterns on them respectively.

depending on the size of the jet you were on that makes perfect sense depending on the rate of climb and the other metrics used for those calculations.
