I never said I didn't do anything stupid. I said he got fucked, and he deserved it because of what he was doing.

Had I busted up my dad's GS400 doing 140 down the highway, I would've deserved it, no doubt.

I've learned things, though, and thought I would try to pass on a little knowledge here. I didn't have enough respect for dad's stuff, simple as that.

There is nothing wrong with inserting a moral or life lesson in here instead of the other stuff being posted. If everything is all hugs and kisses, there will be no lesson learned.

Heh, I totaled my dad's truck, which was mostly mine, but it wasn't due to me being a dumbass. Sometimes bad things happen.

You, on the other hand, were doing something stupid with something that isn't yours. You had no respect for it, and you got fucked.

Good thing no one died, but it serves you right.

Learn to respect what isn't yours.


This was IMHO was a stupid statement, telling someone they got fucked and deserved it is just plain ignorant. The lesson he needs to learn will not be taught by me, or you, or anyone on this board. The lesson was learned the second he crawled out of the smashed up truck, and will be reinforced by his family members.
What you said is akin to telling a smoker "You were a dumbass to smoke, now you've got cancer and it serves you right, learn to respect your body!"
Reinforcing a negative situation with a negative opinion does nothing but create negative feelings, I didn't say everything should be hugs and kisses, I simply feel your post was rude and not the "you have learned a lesson now" rude but an attempt to make someone feel shitty. Thats my opinion.

I dont think that was implied, obviously to learn you must do so on your own.

A famous quote states (frig, wish I could remember it fully), "A great teacher doesn't teach, they simply show you the way."

Basically saying, that we all learn in our own time via our own methods, all anyone can do is make suggestions and nudge a person in the right direction.

I have done some stupid things in my time as well, the guy goofed up, he knows it, and hopefully he will learn from it, end of story no flames needed.

He hasn't been on MSN at all, and he is usually on all the time... so I assume his dad was fairly pissed... hopefully he is still alive :(

I'M ALIVE!! he didn't kill me :D i took the sympathy route i wrapped up my arm and look all injured(like i hurt it really bad) and acted sore and i had little cuts from the glass so i think i got some simpathy KEY WORD SOME! and i agreed with everything he said and didn't argue any punishments but he took my computer away and a couple other things but i still have my dirt bike so i'm happy :)

i'll be back i've been doin alota house work and everything else to suck up and maybe get some cpu time :D see ya'll then :wave:
