I try to get to the gym for a couple of hours, 2-3 times a week and I usually like to use the adjacent health suite after working it, which consists of jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. A friend of mine recently told me that this is a bad idea, as it makes the muscles relax before they have time to develop. How true is this?

Also, while I'm here, could someone please give me some tips on losing a small amount of body fat, I am a pretty big/strong lad (6 ft 1", 13 stone) but my muscles do not appear as well formed as I would like as I have a little too much body fat. I am aware that diet is an imporant factor, but is quite a difficult for an alcoholic chocoholic like myself. Are there any *safe* supplements I could try using?

Thanks for your help....

Well, one hour in the gym is sufficient. 3-4 times per week.

I do not see what difference it would make if you went into a sauna or jacuzzi after your work-out. Personally, I would prefer to use them on an off day when I'm sore to increase blood flow to the muscles.

As far as losing body fat, as you said diet is the key. If that's not in order I do not recommend supplements to make up for a poor diet. :finger:

You really need to have discipline and give up the alcohol and chocolate if you truly want to get lean. If you feel that you cannot give them up, then at least limit them to one day per week.

You mean not drinking (one day a week), right?:D

I think Jonny ment Chocoholic not alcoholic, I've also heard simmilar things about going into a hot tub after a workout.

I don't think its true, and man it feels damn good.

About the diet, well if you can't give up the choco, then your gonna have to do some cardio or somethng to burn off those extra cals, I'm the same so thats what I do.

Nope, the chocolate can go, alcohol I fear, will be here to stay. :(
