Hello All,
I would like to have your help in getting moving in the right direction. I would like to start my bodybuilding exciting at age of 37. I've been told that its never too late to get started. So please tell me what I need to first do in order to get started.

Currently 210
Waist 38
5'5

Step 1
I would like to have my 30inch waist back
I would like to be a lean 170-175lbs
And there is nothing I can do about my height so we will leave that alone.

But really, I want to get started and started right.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you. Do you have any suggestions for me?

1. Join a gym........spend some time finding a good one.
2. Find a good trainer.....most suck so ask around.
3. Read up on food and diet.....a hippie health food store is full of freaks who will tell you more than you want to know.....but they will help you get started on eating right and point out some good books.
4. Read up in the training room.
5. Don't get fancy with your workout.....just the basics for the first year.

Cool. Thanks for the tips. I guess drinking beer is out of the question..........

Once a week if you have too is ok IMO. I believe Rum is only 60 cal a drink, mix it with a diet drink.

Hey there,
If you want to be lean make sure you don't skip cardio. Just get in shape your first few weeks. I have a book by former olympia winner Bill Pearl, its called "Getting Stonger" and I swear by it.
