Injuries. Hmm. Where to start. 17 fractures and 14 ops. Worst was left forearm - half of it was hanging off below the elbow - severed nerve, muscles cut in half etc. Lower back vertebra cracked and two discs out, both ankles snapped, ops on both shoulders and a brain lesion and fissure! Took quite some time to mobilise.

I'm back on my feet now, but overweight, and left side is pretty weak. But everything is working again, well, as well as can be expected. I'm not going to be a buffed beach specimen, but my aim isn't appearance, but more focussed on building strength and as much flexibility as I can manage. When I try and lift something heavy , my left arm drops down so I carry things diagonally! It gets a bit embarassing.

After 3 heart stopping episodes and ITU time, I'm just grateful to have all of my limbs and not be in a wheelchair!

cheers

mick
