I'm new to this forum so I want to say hi to everyone.
I'm young (16), 6 ft (184 cm) tall and weigh 170 pounds with 14 % fat. I have worked (light workout) out for an around a year and I have muscular definition, but my bad eating habits have done that my body fat percentage is relatively high.
So I have decided to do something about it. I want to try out the famous "Ryan Reynolds diet" which he used to get himself into shape before Blade Trinity or something similiar.
The Ryan Reynolds diet:
Breakfast: 2 eggs, some "good" fat like a spoon of almond butter or slice of avocado, and 1 cup of oatmeal with applesauce
Midmorning snack: protein bar
Lunch: albacore tuna wrap or chicken and salad
Mid-afternoon snack: protein shake (whey and water), protein bar, or apple and almonds
Dinner: broiled fish or chicken, brown rice, vegetables, and salad
Evening Snack: protein shake
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My goal is to reduce my body fat percentage to 6-7 % and to increase muscle mass. But since I don't have all day to work out like Ryan I will reduce the diet so it doesn't contain that much energy.
Breakfast (7.00) : 2 eggs, some "good" fat like a spoon of almond butter or slice of avocado, and 1 cup of oatmeal with applesauce
Midmorning snack (when I'm in school) (10.00): fruit, a little bit bread rich on dietary fibre or maybe otmeal
Lunch (12.00): fish or chicken and salad
Mid-afternoon snack (15.00) : protein bar, fruit
Dinner (17.30): broiled fish or chicken, brown rice, vegetables, and salad
Evening Snack (19.00): Salad and a little bit of meat probably
And in between I'm going to drink a lot of water. I also think that I'm going to take some Creatine and other protein products.
I will workout 5 out of 6 days:
1.day: chest and situps
2.day: back and situps
3. day: cardio and situps
4. day: chest and situps
5. day: back and situps
6. day: cardio and situps
7. day: rest
(arms and shoulders in between the workouts)
Workout sessions are approximately 2 hours long.
Can I get some tips on improving the diet and workout? And do you think that supplements would be a good idea?
