I'm a pretty muscular girl who has been in the gym for years now, but I do not lift heavy weights. I'm starting not to like the look I've built, feel wider and broader on my upper body. Does anyone know any effective ways of reversing this? I've tried cardio only and that hasn't helped. (In particular, my shoulders traps and lats) ANy exercises to avoid?
Thanks

stop lifting.....start cardio-ing.

decrease your calories.

This is all the help i get?? COme on people....pleeeeaase !?
BTW, i havent lifted a weight in 9 months

What do you want us to say? "Get lat removal surgery" ?

Taking away the stimulus and lowering calories below the level required to maintain the muscle will result in the breakdown of the tissue.

Thats how the body works. Keep doing cardio rather than weight training, and just WAIT. Sheesh.

I went on a burn muscle spree only to regeret it...and I put on mucle fast!!
To keep me looking feminine i just cut my calories to around 1200 and did 2 hours + of cardio a day

if you're willing to do that, then there you have it.

But, my skin turned to shit, my hair started falling out, and i was always lathargic at just 16.

I don't reccomend it.

oh shit i think thats what happened to me with my skin..i didnt know why..i was doing only cardio in morning and consuming like less than 1000 calories a day..i lost a lot of fat but not enuf muscle..and then my face got wrinkly and saggy , looked like a need a facelift to tell u the truth

You women are nuts. Under 1k calories? Are you really that unhappy with how you look? I'd bet your a hottie with a complex.

post a picture then because i just don't believe you. it isn't hard to lose muscle.

I was thinking this might be half in her head also.

Well, my face didn't get saggy because, hell lets face it i'm not even legal in the states...

But i always felt like shit

Well, I'm under 21.

Well it's out of my head. I got over it when i was 17. Now that my diet has more variety and slightly more calories, it's amazing how great i feel. I do have muscle, but i don't look like a boy

oh, might i suggest circuit training for chickie who's worried about muscle mass. Thats worked wonders on my lower body

the only thing i don't circuit train is my back (deadlifts and variations of)

just 19
