Every 10 minutes I get 3-4 clicking sound from my mouse . This has been going for several days, I ran super Anti-spyware and found multiple adware, but the problem still persists. only place where I click on links its here, so I am wondering if any of you Steroid users have had this problem. Reps to whoever helps me fix the problem :hmmm:

In all seriousness I would appreciate some help, I cant watch porn in peace.

Google MalwareBytes and download and install.

Update it.

Run a full scan (will take a while)

Restart.

What anti-virus are your running?

Running free AVG. Superantispyware keeps finding this Adwaretracking cookie. I delete it and reboot, and it keeps coming back.Downloading malwarebytes now , I will keep you posted. Thanks

Best one out there is Google - f secure online virus scan - click first link - in middle click online scan. Now - then full system scan @ it does it all and gets updated every hour - I do this 4 living computers

I can't speak on that site from any experience; but I recommend the malwarebytes for any heuristic virus. It will also force a restart and -rescan b4 the startup services reside in memory.

Couldn't hurt to do both though. Could be audio card drivers, etc.

run malwarebytes in safemode, or you are wasting your time.

Thanks, I just did that and it looks like it got the problem taken care of.

Excellent. Now I bet it's porn city for you!

Damn, problem still coming back. Malwarebyte doesn't find anything when I run the scan on safemode, Superantispyware keeps finding the adwarecookie , and once I get rid of it it comes right back. Clicking noise is driving me insane, its the mouse click 4-5 times every 10 minutes.

Try selecting another Windows Theme.....just as a shot in the dark.

Could it be the pop up blocker blocking popups? Is IE (any browser open) when it happens?

I can fix this but you must either buy the program or know how torrent work. You need advanced system optimizer and ccleaner.
run ccleaner first and clean your registery also, then run advanced system optimizer...guarenteed this will fix it. these programs clean all the unwanted temporary crap, clean and fix your registery keys, and it willl also update your drivers.
If you do not know what a torrent is...try going to your computers website and update your drivers...especially your mouse driver...drivers are free to dl..e.g- if you have a dell, go to dell.com to get your drivers and so forth. hope this helps.

I am 90% sure that your problem is the mouse driver!

3 of my computers have this problem after a person sent out a email with multiple links which every person within my household open.

You probably have a virus that altered your registry keys and drivers. Do you know how to use torrents?

what type of mouse do you have? most today have no moving parts except for the push button (plunger) located on the PCB for right/left clicks and a rotating mechanisim for the thumbwhell. there really aren't any electronic components on those devices that could generate a clicking sound.

all the chips on those are read only (ROM) so no new instructions can be programmed(written) into them.

I think he is referring to the computer making the clicking sound and may even be clicking something when he does not push it. I.E. the pointer is clicking not the mouse.

Try restoring your computer to an eariler date. Start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. pick one of the restore points that you think is before your mouse problem. good luck

If it's coming from the mouse, then it's probably the mouse. Malware doesn't create noises outside of the computer. Adaware and spyware doesn't really hurt a computer it just bogs it down. You can check out my Malware Removal guide I put on my site. I would recommend trying another mouse first.

It is not his actual mouse...I have had this problem before...it is a virus....get ccleaner and advanced system optimizer as i stated earlier if you ever want to resolve this issue.

Yeah it is not the mouse, I tried system restore and last known good config. No luck, clicking sound still there when I browse the internet. Ill have one of the IT guys from the office check it out tommorrow, thanks for all the help.

look ,I will say it one more time in easy to understand words.

It is most likely a virus that messed with your hkeys and your drivers. You can try to dl and install your mouse driver again as it is free. this may solve the problem, but you will still have the virus that will need to be removed. Now you can do what i said, or you can have your IT guy tell you the same thing. ^_^

Not sure how torrent work, and I will purchase those programs as long as it takes care of the situation for good (of course would prefer to get them free). I sent you a private messege.
