Just don't fall for the overlaid advertising...

Uncle Flash's top tip for opening amps

Just in case you have watched the youtube video and don't have spare surgical gloves and a towel and a knife and etc etc

Take a spare (or used and washed) 2.5ml syringe and throw away the plunger as you only need the barrel. You only need one barrel and can use it again and again.

Insert the top of the ampoule into the empty barrel until the end of the barrel is in line with the score mark on the ampoule - if in doubt go above the line not past it.

Holding the amp gently but firmly in one hand, lean the top (pin end) of the barrel toward you. The ampoule will snap at the line. Put the top of the amp in a safe place and dispose of with rest of amp when AAS has been drawn.

It's fast, easy and it works.

Alternatively, just send me all your gear and I'll take the tops off for you and send it back. This is a joke by the way.

If you apply pressure correctly you can use your bare hands just fine, not sure why you have glass flying everywhere. I have the amp opener but I use my hands in the same fashion, careful application of pressure combined with speed - no opener necessary.

Maybe its just me, or maybe its the ampules that come with juice but i use amp's all the time and have never had a problem. Two hands, i wear gloves but thats cause i'm in a hospital and its to prevent nosocomial infections more than protect myself. I think you guys are overthinking this, i was never even instructed on how to open them, just a quick demo (my teacher held one in front of the class and said "do this" as she just popped it open).

I think only a nervous person would be breaking them, make it quick and they snap perfectly with bare hands.
