Heroes/ Role models

.. i thought the fight was boring, i can't see the skill, it was closer to a 'hug match'.. i hope he retires.. i'm more into watching mma these days because it seems more honest.. you can't be an mma champ by only dancing & clenching, but nowadays in pro heavy weight boxing, holding is all you get ..... fly weight & middle weight is still exciting to see.....

On yea... I don't like the style... just acknowledged the sportsmanship

I will say... most of mma is desperately trying to avoid confrontation. ..it is certainly not toe toe combat...it is trying to get your opponent in a helpless position and taking advantage

even 3rd tier mma on tuff tv at midnight is better than watching heavy weight boxing or mayweather back pedeling

Oh yea...there,are shit boxing...too much clinching. .. it's supposed to be counter punching and inches

I think best mma fight ever...wanderlust vs liddell... went at it

.... at times mma is incredible violent, & i agree with you kos, seeing a guy getting 'beat to a pulp' is hard to watch when he can't seem to defend himself, but the mix of fighting skills is exciting.... and still who gets to box for a title is controlled & it's becoming that way in mma ..........

Ken Shamrock, had a hard life like you KOS, was abandoned and was homeless at 13 living in cars, was stabbed multiple times in a robbery at 10 . guy had a hard life and managed to make it. people like this make me appreciate what I have and I should never complain about tough times

Shamrock was a great fighter, but mma [ufc] was just beginning when Ken got in the game, not much money , so he went pro-wrestling & made some bread, but it didn't help his mma life...... he never had the jujitsu skills younger fighters were practicing ... his ground game wasn't that strong. He was a 'bad dude' , he always had heart & big balls.....

O yea Ken shamrock is a MAN
Would love to see him do mma ten years later than he started
he pioneered it, mma wasn't a style back then, now the best of what works has been molded into a its own style so pretty much every gym says its mma.
